Yesterday we finished our 8th session with Christine. I feel so grateful and happy about the training experience. Christine is very professional and has such good understanding and observation about dogs. My dog Qi is a Slovak Cuvac with independent nature. Every lesson, she observes my dog and adjust the training according the dog's respond. She treats her as she is. This takes lots of experience and confidence as a dog trainer. She is always very patient in explaining and make sure I understand why we are doing certain things with the dog in certain way. I learned so much about my dog and developed such bonding with her over the time. Almost all unwanted behaviors are gone. when things happens occasionally, I know I have the proper tools and skills to handle it. Qi is a different dog and I am a different handler now. The lesson started as some we need, and ended something we enjoy. We will start new sessions in January for tracking training. I am very excited about it. I have been working with Christine for the last year on pet and sport obedience for my 16 month GSD, Freddie. To say that she knows her stuff is an understatement – she is a consummate professional and clearly loves what she does. Christine is extremely generous with her time and knowledge - I have left all of my training sessions (whether it be in person or on Zoom) with a clear understanding of the things we are doing well, not so well, and what to do next. The results I’ve seen have been amazing – there is a steady improvement in our performance. Christine takes the time to understand the emotion and state of mind of my dog and uses that to bring more power and energy into our work.

We have also done a two week Board and Train. Christine and her team were extremely communicative with how Freddie was doing (daily videos and photos) and I felt so comfortable leaving my dog in their care. The progress that was made in two weeks would have taken me months! The facilities that she has are spacious and clean – all the dogs have their own separate runs. As someone who avoids off leash parks and doggy “daycares” at all costs, I was relieved that Freddie did not have to interact with any other dogs unsupervised during his stay.

Christine firmly and kindly set me on the right training path with my 10 month old Giant Schnauzer. My big pup was jumping on people, and lunging at cars and bikes. After 6 sessions, she no longer exhibits these behaviors, altho keeping her from jumping on my active grandkids is still a work in progress! But I feel I have the tools now to keep on top of this, and trust with a bit of maturity Josie will be able to control herself in all situations. So thank you Christine! And also thanks to Neysa, who quickly and efficiently took care of a merchandise exchange for me. I intend to return in fall for some brush up sessions but am well on my way to having a well behaved young dog.

Attending group puppy classes at Ruffdog and I’m very happy with the knowledge and skill I’m learning and successfully applying that to my 7 month old Fireballs Malinois puppy.
